Fallout 76 Maintenance Announcement Patch Notes (24th April 2026)

A small but annoying bug is getting fixed. Bethesda has announced that Fallout 76 will go offline on Tuesday, April 28 at 10am ET/9am CT across all platforms to deploy a targeted update.

The patch addresses a single issue: the status bar displaying status effects that the player isn't actually suffering from. If you've been staring at your HUD wondering why you're supposedly poisoned, irradiated, or encumbered when nothing in the wasteland has touched you, this is the fix. It's a small scope update, but a misleading status bar in a game built around survival systems and careful resource management is more disruptive than it sounds. Chasing a phantom debuff wastes stimpaks and attention.

Bethesda credited player reports for helping the team track down the problem, which is a decent sign that the feedback loop between the community and the developers is still functioning. No other changes are listed for this maintenance window.
