EA SPORTS FC 26 v1.5.6 Patch Notes (12th May 2026)
EA SPORTS FC 26 v1.5.6 is a small but focused patch targeting control loss bugs in both Ultimate Team Rush and Clubs Mode.
Losing control of your player mid-match is one of those bugs that sounds minor until it happens to you in a Rush game with something on the line. v1.5.6, which went live on 12th May 2026 for PS5, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, targets exactly that.
Two fixes make up the bulk of this update. Ultimate Team players could lose control of their player during Rush matches in certain situations, and Clubs Mode had an identical issue affecting avatar control. Both are now addressed. EA has also patched an unspecified stability issue, which tells us almost nothing, but a crash fix is a crash fix.
This is a small patch, and I won't pretend otherwise. No gameplay tuning, no balance changes. But control loss bugs in live matches are disruptive, so getting these out quickly is the right call. The complete notes are below.
