EA Sports FC 26 1.6.5 Patch Notes (22nd July 2026)

Clubs matchmaking in EA Sports FC 26 has been a friction point for weeks, and version 1.6.5 finally tackles it. The patch, which went live today, addresses the error that was preventing players from launching online matches with their squads. It's a straightforward fix, but one that should restore some breathing room to the mode.

The team acknowledged the frustration directly: "We're sorry for the ongoing matchmaking issues in Clubs, we know how frustrating it's been to try and get matches with your squads." That's honest enough, and if the fix holds, it'll matter. Clubs is where a lot of players spend their time, and when you can't actually play matches, the whole mode collapses.

There's not much else in this patch. It's a targeted update focused on getting the game working rather than adding new features. That's the right call when something this fundamental is broken. The full patch notes on the error handling for Clubs online matches are below.
