EA SPORTS FC 26 1.5.4 Patch Notes (April 28)

Career Mode players have been dealing with a particularly annoying bug where CPU Slider settings would reset to default every time you relaunched the game and loaded a save. Version 1.5.4, live today, finally puts that one to rest, alongside a fix for the wrong team displaying when starting a new Manager Career with an Icon Player.

The frame rate fix buried in the General section is probably the most impactful change here. Drops to low frame rates specifically after the second half is a rough issue in a football game, where the closing stages of a match are often the most critical. EA haven't detailed what was causing it, which is the kind of vague patch note I'd usually push back on, but at least it's being addressed. Youth player height generation has also been adjusted for more realistic prospects, a small but welcome tweak for anyone deep in a long-term Career Mode save.

Ultimate Team

Made the following changes:

Improved UI selection when viewing Player Items in a New Releases tab.
The Actions button callout was unavailable in New Releases when using the Compare Price function.

Career Mode

Addressed the following issues:

Addressed an issue where CPU Slider settings would reset to default after relaunching the game and loading a save.
An incorrect team would display when starting a new Manager Career with an Icon Player.
Youth player height generation has been adjusted to ensure more realistic and balanced prospects.

Clubs

Addressed the following issues:

The Objectives button opened the FC HUB instead of the Objectives screen.
Addressed instances of misaligned text.

General, Audio, and Visual

Made the following changes:

Updated some trophy images, boots, kits, ad boards, overlays, crests, logos, star heads, hair, backdrop sponsors, anthems, stadiums, hair, banners, flags and scarves
\ Addressed some specific cases that caused game performance to drop to low frame rates after the second half.

Addressed the following issues:

Addressed various stability issues that could have occurred.
Addressed instances of text not appearing.
