Guardian Games 2026 wraps up with a Warlock victory, Iron Banner makes its return, and Bungie rolls out the first Community Challenge picks in Update 9.5.6.2.

Warlocks win. Guardian Games 2026 is done, and per Update 9.5.6.2 on Bungie.net, the final week is here to close out the event and tally the results. If you were grinding for the Animal Instinct emblem, now's the time to make sure you've hit the requirements before it disappears.

Iron Banner also returns today, which is the more immediately relevant news for PvP players who've been waiting. On top of that, Bungie is rolling out the first week of picks from the Community Challenge's Going for Guardian Games Gold selection, so there's a concrete reason to log in beyond the usual seasonal loop.

This is a lighter update by Destiny standards, more of a live-event maintenance patch than a sweeping balance pass. I wouldn't expect major sandbox changes here, but if Guardian Games or Iron Banner is your thing, there's enough to pull you back in. Full patch notes below.
