The Succubus race arrives alongside balance tweaks, economy changes, and a wave of bug fixes targeting class exploits and map geometry issues.

Hotfix #117 brings the Succubus race to Dark and Darker alongside significant economy reshuffling and class balance tuning. The new playable race comes with matching weapon cosmetics, but the real meat here is how Ironmace is rebalancing the entire reward structure.

AP earnings just tripled for player kills (30 to 90 AP, split among the party) and floor progression jumped from 30 to 50 AP. This is a major shift for Arena economy, kills now matter substantially more, which should tighten the skill gap and make aggressive play more viable. Sell-back prices on high-value drops like boss loot and rare items have also climbed, making your hauls feel less disposable.

On the class side, Barbarian got meaningful buffs: Robust now grants 10% max health instead of 8%, Grappling Hook is faster with reduced cooldown, and Heavy Swing now extends existing movement speed debuffs rather than applying its own. Warlock took nerfs to Dark Reflection scaling and Demon Form damage output, though the movement speed penalty when hit got sharper. Buff Nerf Fix Tweak

Hi Adventurers,

This hotfix brings polish and balance to the recently added features. This includes adding new treasure rooms and mining ores to the recently added the Firedeep levels. We’ve also made numerous adjustments to the economy, making rare items more valuable. We’ve tuned the balance for the game rules including the amount of AP earned for kills and going down a floor. We’ve also made further adjustments to the Dark Swarm phases in the Squire Royale mode. This update also brings the seductive Succubus race to the game including matching exquisite weapon skins. IRONMACE

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed an issue where frame drops could occur when a Ranger’s Explosive Shot hit a target.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ghost King could be blocked by a Druid's Thorn Barrier and Entangling Vines.
  • Fixed an issue where the Barbarian’s Two-Hander and Heavy Swing perks could also apply to thrown weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where a Sorcerer could escape outside the map by using Electric Dash at a specific location within the Wheel module in The Forgotten Castle - Crypt.
  • Fixed an issue where players could become stuck behind a specific Chest within the Sinking Pillars module in The Frost Mountain - Ice Abyss.
  • Fixed an issue where players could become stuck between objects at a specific location within the Bladehand's Refuge module in The Blue Maelstrom.
  • Fixed an issue where the White Shark might fail to attack players who entered its attack range.
  • Fixed an issue where a White Shark possessed through Faustian Bargain could rise above the water and fly through the air.
  • Fixed an issue where Sea Walker slime debuff effects could be applied after the slime had already disappeared.
  • Fixed an issue where damage from the Frost Skeleton Maceman's attacks might not be applied correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the Frost Wyvern could be launched away upon death, making interaction impossible.
  • Fixed an issue where the Demon Overseer's dash attack pattern might not function as intended.
  • Fixed an issue where the hitbox of the Fire Colossus's combo slam attack could extend higher than intended.
  • Fixed an issue where the visual effects of certain Fire Colossus attack patterns could be interrupted prematurely.
  • Fixed an issue where Legendary-grade Shining Pearl items could drop in the PvE Campaign.
  • Fixed an issue where the highest Arena Rank would be displayed in the Arena results screen instead of showing the proper Arena Rank corresponding to the current queue.
  • Fixed an issue where required items for the Huntress's Quests might not be displayed correctly.

Game Updates:

  • The Ember Gem special key item has been added to the Firedeep.
  • A new resource, Brimstone, has been added to the Inferno.
  • Improved the pre-attack animations for bow-wielding monsters single-shot and multi-shot attacks to make them more visually distinct.
  • The activation timing of the Demon Overseer's knockback attack has been slightly delayed.
  • New Succubus themed cosmetics have been added to the Shop.

Balance Updates:

General

  • Adjusted the duration and amount of Dark Swarm phases in the Squire Royale mode.
  • Increased the AP rewards for player kills and entering the next floor. Killing an enemy player has increased from 30 to 90 AP (split between the party), and entering the next floor has increased from 30 to 50 AP.
  • The sell-back prices to the merchants of several high-value items have been increased, including Frost Wyvern Egg, Honeybliss Pear, Chocolate Chip Muffin, Ancient Stingray Egg, Crown of the Midnight Stag, Midnight Stag Display, Corrupted Heart, Tear of the Volcano, and Seal of Dominion.
  • The sell-back prices of boss Hunting Loot have been increased.
  • The maximum stack size of Silver Coins has been increased from 30 to 100.
  • The floor lava damage in the Demon Overseer’s Dominion module has been reduced.

Classes

Barbarian

  • The maximum Health bonus from Robust has been increased from 8% to 10%.
  • Heavy Swing has been changed from reducing Movement Speed of the target by 10% to increasing the duration of any Movement Speed reduction effects on the target by 100%.
  • Grappling Hook now has a faster throw speed, a longer pull distance, and its cooldown has been reduced from 20 seconds to 16 seconds.
  • The cooldown of Hurl Weapon has been reduced from 20 seconds to 16 seconds.

Warlock

  • The damage scaling of Dark Reflection has been reduced from 15 (0.75) to 15 (0.25).
  • The bonus Dark Magic Damage per Dark Shard while in Demon Form has been reduced from 33% to 25%.
  • The Movement Speed reduction effect applied when hit by a Demon Form melee attack has had both its magnitude and duration increased.
