CS2 Animgraph 2 Beta Update Patch Notes (9th April 2026)

The CS2 Animgraph 2 beta received a new update on 9th April 2026, available now if you've opted into the animgraph_2_beta build via Steam's beta opt-in settings.

The headlining change is reduced network bandwidth utilisation. That's a quiet note with real implications: lower bandwidth draw means smoother performance on constrained connections and potentially less packet loss at the margins, which in a game where a single tick can decide a duel, is worth paying attention to. Valve has also flagged a known issue where the client may throw a fatal error when trying to connect to a server running a different build. Not ideal, but at least they're telling you upfront rather than leaving players to figure it out on a community forum.

This is a beta branch, so rough edges are expected. If you want to flag bugs or give feedback directly to Valve, they're asking players to email csgoteamfeedback@valvesoftware.com with the subject line "AG2 Beta".
