Crimson Desert Patch Notes 1.08.00 (22nd May 2026)
Crimson Desert's latest patch adds a pond, a Baby Wyvern pet, and a dedicated tool slot, alongside a long list of combat, UI, and graphics fixes.
The biggest addition in Patch Notes Version 1.08.00 is the new pond system, which lets you release fish directly from your inventory, breed them by species, and keep legendary fish permanently registered. Legendary fish can no longer be sold or discarded going forward, and any you'd already gotten rid of have been restored to your inventory. That's a retroactive fix I didn't expect, and it's a good one.
The new dedicated tool slot is a quality-of-life change that's been a long time coming. Logging axes, shovels, scythes, drills, and several other tools no longer compete with your secondary weapon slot, which should clean up a lot of the inventory juggling that's been annoying players since launch. The Baby Wyvern pet is the flashier headline, with Pearl Abyss confirming it will eventually grow into a rideable mount in a future update. Wild Wyverns can also be temporarily mounted after being subdued right now, which is a decent stopgap.
On the technical side, raytraced sun and moon light shadows have been added under Graphics settings, and there are several GPU load improvements for resolutions above 4K. The patch is live on PC via Steam now, with the Mac version still in progress.
Here's everything that changed.
