Counter-Strike 2 Update Patch Notes (29th May 2026)
A small but tidy CS2 update lands today, tidying up the Cologne 2026 Shop, spectator flashbang rendering, and a couple of map fixes.
Small update today for Counter-Strike 2, but if you've been deep in the Cologne 2026 sticker grind, one quality-of-life change will land well: you can now bookmark stickers in the Cologne 2026 Shop. Not a headline feature, but anyone hunting specific stickers across a bloated shop catalogue will appreciate not losing track of what they actually want.
On the spectator side, Valve has added the r_spectator_flashbang_opacity convar, letting broadcast setups and casters control how intense the flashbang effect looks for remote viewers. The flash also now renders underneath the HUD rather than over it, which is a sensible fix for anyone who's watched a pro match and seen the screen go completely white at a critical moment.
Map-wise, Ancient gets clipping updates to close off some boost spots, and Sanctum has been updated to its latest Steam Workshop version. Neither change is seismic, but tightening boost exploits on Ancient is always a competitive health fix. Here's everything that changed.
