Counter-Strike 2 Update Patch Notes (17th July 2026)
Valve has rolled out a fresh round of map updates and backend improvements to Counter-Strike 2 today, pulling the latest versions from the Community Workshop.

Valve's pushed out a new Counter-Strike 2 update today with a focus on keeping the map pool fresh and the backend stable. Four community-designed maps have been refreshed to their latest Workshop versions: Fachwerk, Boulder, Shelter, and El Dorado all get the treatment, which means layout tweaks, balance adjustments, or visual polish depending on what the mapmakers have been cooking up.
It's a quiet patch by design. There's no flashy weapon rebalance or feature announcement here, just the kind of housekeeping that keeps competitive play consistent with what the community's been building. The stability and security fixes bundled in are the sort of thing you won't notice unless something was broken, which is exactly the point.
If you've been playing these maps in their Workshop versions, you'll want to check what's changed. The full list of map-specific updates is below.
