Valve has pushed out a fresh update to Team Fortress 2 that addresses cosmetics, map flow, and some lingering audio problems. The Circuit Breaker taunt finally has its missing sound restored, which should make that particular cosmetic feel complete again.

Two unusual effects get attention here: the Northern Nights Summer 2026 effect is now called Polar Prism, while Floral Growth receives a fix for orientation and positioning issues. The Bald Spotter and Surgical Shroud cosmetics both get visual tweaks to their mesh, normals, and specular properties, with texture sizes reduced on both.

The map work is where this patch does real work. Koth_dusker receives global lighting improvements in outdoor areas to help with team recognition, while cp_premuda gets a proper overhaul: conflicting files that caused crashes are gone, spawn room errors are fixed, respawn times adjusted to make capping more viable, and dark spaces brightened throughout. Sound timings and volumes have been rebalanced across the board. Tournament medals also receive updates. The full list, including every clipping fix and flow adjustment on cp_premuda, is below.
