Brighter Shores Rags to Riches Quest Patch Notes (1st June 2026)
A new 4-star Crenopolis quest lands today, asking you to barter a peanut into a diamond without spending a single copper.
A peanut into a diamond, no copper spent. That's the premise of Rags to Riches, a new 4-star Crenopolis quest added to Brighter Shores today. You kick it off by speaking to Rom Harrington in the Merchants' Guild, and the lead developer on it was Naomi.
Beyond the quest, the 1st June patch brings a couple of quality-of-life changes that should quietly improve the day-to-day experience. Dragging items from your backpack directly onto an NPC or location is now supported, which removes a small but persistent friction from interactions. Chat text you'd half-typed before hiding the window will also survive the toggle now, which is the sort of fix that sounds minor until you've lost a sentence three times in a row. XP potions from different episodes no longer show a false 'disabled' overlay either, which was needlessly confusing.
On the bug side, a fix lands for the Beecause quest where too few ants were spawning in Nectar Crossing, plus minor graphical corrections to some Hopeport side quests. The complete notes are below.

Quality of life improvements
- Your half-finished chat will no longer be lost if you temporarily hide the chat window.
- You can now drag items from your backpack and drop them on a location or NPC to use them.
- XP potions no longer display a 'disabled' overlay when they are from a different episode.
Bug fixes
- Fix bug in the Beecause quest where not enough ants appeared in Nectar Crossing.
- Minor graphical fixes to some Hopeport side quests.
- Fix various typos.
