Brighter Shores Enchanted Trees Patch Notes (28th April 2026)
Alchemists get a new crafting system in Hopeforest, kobold arena bounties get a fairness pass, and a handful of quality-of-life fixes round out today's update.
Alchemists have something new to work toward in today's Brighter Shores update. The Enchanted Trees patch adds tree enchantment potions brewed at the potent potion station, letting you enchant specific trees in Hopeforest. There are 10 potions in total, each tied to a different tree species, with reagents dropping from combat foes across Hopeport and Hopeforest. Only one tree per species can be enchanted at a time, so this is a persistent, player-driven choice rather than a passive buff you forget about.
On the balancing side, kobold arena bounties now reward bonus coins if you bring a weapon better than requested, bringing them in line with Rock Eater and Bonetron 8000 bounties. Small change, but it removes an annoying inconsistency that rewarded players for lowballing their submissions.
The quality-of-life fix I'm most glad to see: 'View recipe' and 'View rewards' no longer wipe your action queue. That was a friction point that had no good reason to exist. A few bug fixes round things out, including camera behaviour after Rock Eater deliveries and a corrected cape bank ordering. The complete notes are below.
Full Patch Notes
Alchemists can now brew tree enchantment potions at the potent potion station. These potions allow you to enchant trees of your choice in Hopeforest. There are 10 different potions, each corresponding to a different species of tree.
Only a single tree of each species can be enchanted at a time. You can change which tree is enchanted by making another potion and using it on a different tree. Once a tree has been enchanted, it will stay enchanted until you choose to enchant a different tree.
The reagents for tree enchantment potions are rare drops from various Hopeport and Hopeforest combat foes. You can find all the information on the new potions, including what their reagents are and which species of tree they enchant, in the Alchemist profession interface.
Quality of life improvements
• The 'View recipe' and 'View rewards' options no longer clear your action queue.
Balancing changes
• The kobolds in the kobold arena will now give bonus coins if you bring them a weapon that is better than they asked for. This matches Rock Eater and Bonetron 8000 bounties, which already do this.
Bug fixes
• Fix weapon cards to properly use new one-handed and two-handed icons.
• After delivering a weapon to a Rock Eater, the camera will return to your chosen zoom.
• The storage rift 'Deposit all' option will now work if you open the menu before you enter the room containing the storage rift.
• Fix the order of the cape bank to match the order of professions in the professions interface.
• Fix missing milestone number on episode cape items.
• Fix various typos.
