Borderlands 4 Minor Update Notes (9th April 2026)
Borderlands 4's April 9 minor update bumps XP rewards from Badass enemies and Bosses, and rolls in fresh Weekly Activities.
The April 9 minor update for Borderlands 4 is small in scope but hits somewhere players will actually feel it. Gearbox has increased the combat XP awarded for killing Badass enemies and Bosses, which should make those tougher encounters feel like they're worth the extra effort rather than just a bullet sponge tax on your time.
A new set of Weekly Activities has also gone live alongside the XP change. No breakdown of what those activities involve in the patch notes themselves, so you'll want to log in and check the in-game menu directly.
If you're mid-session, Gearbox is recommending a full restart to make sure the update applies cleanly and to avoid any matchmaking connection errors. That's not nothing when you're running co-op. Full patch notes below.
