Star Citizen, the ambitious space simulation game by Cloud Imperium Games, has hit a major milestone in its crowdfunding journey. Recently, the game surpassed $700 million in funds raised according to the figures released by the developer.

Cloud Imperium Games openly shares detailed revenue information on their website, showcasing the progression of funds across months, weeks, and even hours. For instance, on the morning of May 28 alone, Star Citizen drew in $42,886 in just one hour, underlining the game's consistent financial support from its dedicated player base.

Star Citizen has undoubtedly faced criticism and skepticism due to its prolonged development period and expensive in-game assets. However, with the recent release of Alpha 3.23 titled "Adventure Beckons," the game continues to evolve and cement its position in the gaming industry.

While anticipation mounts for the official commercial release of Star Citizen 1.0, there is still uncertainty surrounding the exact launch date. Chris Roberts, the visionary behind the project, is aiming for Alpha 4.0 to arrive in 2024, with plans to integrate elements from Squadron 42 into the core universe experience.

As Star Citizen progresses towards its long-awaited release, the dedication of its developers and the unwavering support of its fanbase serve as testaments to the game's enduring legacy in the gaming community.
