In a surprising twist, Square Enix, the renowned gaming company, has thrown the Japanese gaming world into chaos by erroneously mislabeling all editions of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth discs. A production mistake led to all Play Discs being labelled as "Data Disc", while each of the Data Discs was marked as a "Play Disc", as revealed by Gematsu.

Wrong Disc

The company publicly acknowledged this oversight via a statement on their Japanese website, advising gamers to switch the discs during the setup. An apology was also issued for the blunder, expressing regret for any inconvenience caused to the loyal player base.

Prior to the launch of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Square Enix heavily promoted the two-disc physical variant, bringing cheer to fans' faces with its "on two discs" screen announcement.

The highly awaited successor to Final Fantasy 7 Remake is set to hit the stores on February 29, introducing players to celebrated locales from the original, such as Gold Saucer and Junon. Gamers can also get a glimpse of Junon in the demo version, which has recently seen an update.

It praised the game for flawlessly building on what was introduced in the Remake, both as a top-tier action-RPG brimming with thrilling challenges and a splendid reconstruction of a world cherished by countless gamers over the years.
