Sony has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated multiplayer shooter, Concord, is still on track for a 2024 release date. This revelation came during a recent earnings call where Sony discussed their financial performance over the last fiscal year and outlined some of their upcoming plans.
In the earnings call, Sony's Sadahiko Hayakawa highlighted the success of the live service game, Helldivers 2, which has exceeded sales expectations with 12 million copies sold across PS5 and PC platforms. This success has positioned Helldivers 2 as one of Sony's biggest PC titles to date. The upcoming live service titles like Destiny 2: The Final Shape and Concord are expected to further drive sales and profits for Sony.
Despite the lack of gameplay footage or detailed information, Sony remains committed to releasing Concord later this year. It's intriguing to see Sony's confidence in the game's development progress even without much public visibility. Perhaps Firewalk Studios, the developers behind Concord, have been quietly perfecting the game behind the scenes.
