Player First Games’ MultiVersus has been making waves in the gaming community with its unique blend of characters from various Warner Bros. properties. The latest launch trailer revealed two iconic characters joining the roster - Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th and Agent Smith from The Matrix series.
Jason Vorhees, known for his menacing presence in the Friday the 13th franchise, makes his debut in MultiVersus. While he may look bigger and thicker than his movie counterparts, he still wields his signature machete with deadly precision. Players can expect a brutal and relentless fighting style from this iconic horror character.
Agent Smith, portrayed by Hugo Weaving in The Matrix series, brings his calculated and ruthless persona to the battlefield. Fans of the films will recognize his uncanny resemblance to the actor, but the real question is whether he will unleash his army of clones in combat, mirroring his abilities from The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions.
Aside from these two exciting additions, the launch trailer is filled with Easter eggs and references to other Warner Bros. properties. From the City of Townsville stage hinting at The Powerpuff Girls to the katana, trident, and broom referencing Samurai Jack, Aquaman, and Harry Potter, there are plenty of nods to keep fans intrigued.
With the game set to launch on May 28th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC, players can look forward to an action-packed experience with a diverse roster of characters. The new PvE mode, Rifts, promises even more exciting gameplay opportunities for fans to enjoy.
