Exciting news for fans of MultiVersus - the game is officially set to return on May 28th!
In a new video announcement, game director Tony Huynh revealed that the team has taken player feedback from the open beta seriously and made significant improvements based on it.
"The team has heard your feedback and learned a lot from our open beta," Huynh stated. "Here at Player First Games, it's always been our aspiration to make a platform fighter that you'll love as much as we do. We've been working hard on a variety of changes and updates to deliver an improved gameplay experience."
Some of the major changes include the addition of new characters to the roster, new stages, improved netcode, and new moves for each character. Additionally, the game has transitioned to Unreal Engine 5, promising a more visually stunning experience.
One of the most exciting updates is the introduction of a new PvE mode with unique rewards, adding more depth to the gameplay experience.
Originally launched as an open beta in July 2022, MultiVersus is a crossover fighting game featuring popular characters from Warner Bros. properties such as DC Comics, Looney Tunes, Game of Thrones, Rick & Morty, and more.
Despite its initial popularity, the game experienced a significant decline in player count shortly after launch. However, with these new updates and improvements, the team is hoping to reinvigorate interest and attract players back to the game.
