The anticipated release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League on the Epic Games Store has been pushed back yet again, just ahead of its expected release date.

The action-packed title was originally slated for release in 2022, but multiple hefty delays meant that the game only made it to the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam platforms on February 2. The Epic Games Store version of the game saw further delays and was expected to debut on March 5.

However, the official X account for the game announced on March 4 that the Epic Games Store version will be delayed for an additional three weeks. In a message to the Epic Games Store PC community, it expressed gratitude for their patience and confirmed that the new release date would be March 26, 2024.

In its first month since release, the game has faced its fair share of challenges. According to Warner Bros Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels, its sales underperformed the company's forecasts.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was developed by the same studio responsible for the popular Batman Arkham series. Despite originally sparking high interest in the gaming industry, the game's drawn-out development process, poor pre-release showings, and a negative response to its live service features diminished its appeal.

The game was met with mixed reviews, and scored 60 (for consoles) and 63 (for PC) on review site Metacritic. Issues related to server instability and a bug causing automatic completion tarnished the game's launch. Additionally, the game has seen a decline in its popularity on Steam. It now frequently dips below the concurrent player count of Warner Bros Games' Gotham Knights, a title that debuted two and a half years ago.
