Electronic Arts has announced that the prices for its EA Play subscription service are set to increase. According to GamesIndustry.biz, the standard tier for EA Play will see a rise from $4.99 / £3.99 per month to $5.99 / £5.99. The annual fee will also be increasing from $29.99 / £19.99 to $39.99 / £35.99.

For those opting for the monthly EA Play Pro subscription, the price will be going up from $14.99 / £14.99 to $16.99 / £16.99. The annual membership for this tier will increase from $119.99 / £109.99 to $99.99 / £89.99.

Subscribers can expect to receive an email notification about these changes in the coming days. The new prices are already reflected on the official EA Play website.

Existing customers will see the new prices take effect starting on May 10. EA Play offers access to a library of titles as well as 10-hour trials of new EA games. The service also includes an exclusive PC tier that grants players full access to the publisher's catalogue, including new releases on launch day.

Last year, Sony increased the prices for its PlayStation Plus subscription service, which led to a 35% hike in costs. Microsoft also made adjustments to its Game Pass subscription prices in July 2023, albeit with smaller increases.
