With the recent announcement of Motive joining Electronic Arts Battlefield development team, gamers are in for some exciting new experiences in the beloved franchise. Led by Philipp Ducharme and Roman Campos-Oriola, Motive will be working alongside DICE, Criterion, and Ripple Effect to expand the Battlefield universe with connected multiplayer experiences and single-player adventures.

This collaboration comes as part of EA's shift towards prioritizing new projects, leaving Battlefield 2042 Season 7 - Turning Point as the final season for the game. Motive's expertise in storytelling and immersive battles, as seen in the upcoming Dead Space remake, uniquely positions them to contribute to the future of the Battlefield series.

Under the leadership of Vince Zampella and Byron Beede, Motive's team is set to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the franchise. While the focus shifts to new endeavors, such as the Iron Man project led by Olivier Proulx and Ian Frazier, fans can still expect continued support for Battlefield 2042 through in-game challenges, events, and modes.

This move follows EA's recent closure of Ridgeline Games, signaling a transition towards exploring new horizons in gaming. As the gaming landscape evolves, EA's strategic decisions pave the way for exciting developments and innovative experiences for players.
