Alone in the Dark, the highly anticipated horror-themed reboot, is set to be released globally on March 20th after a brief delay for additional polishing. This intriguing title features the talents of David Harbour (known for his role in Stranger Things) and Jodie Comer (from Free Guy and Killing Eve) and has been generating a lot of buzz among gamers.

A recent announcement revealed that to fully uncover the depth of the story filled with mysteries, twists, and turns, players will need to play the game not just once, but twice. Once as David Harbour's character, Edward, a gruff private investigator, and again as Jodie Comer's character, Emily, a more subdued and polite woman.

Comparisons have been drawn to Resident Evil 2, where players can choose between different characters, each offering unique abilities, unlocks, and paths through the game. Similarly, in Alone in the Dark, players will have a distinct experience based on their character selection, making replayability a key feature of the game.

This dual playthrough approach will extend the typical eight-hour completion time to around 14 or 16 hours, providing a clever strategy to keep players engaged for longer periods.

Having had the opportunity to play an exclusive preview of Alone in the Dark, I can attest to the game's strong points. The acting is top-notch, the visuals are stunning, and the world-building and soundtrack combine to create a captivating atmosphere. Stay tuned for my full review before the game's release, offering more insights into this thrilling horror experience.
