Mira, the Shiba Inu who secretly controlled every horrifying event in Silent Hill 2's legendary secret ending, now has a new job: guarding your loose change. Konami and Japanese collectible company Gecco have released a Dog Ending piggy bank statue, and it is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds.

The figure recreates the moment James discovers Mira sitting at her infamous control panel, complete with colourful switches, TV screens, and a map showing James and Mary's faces. Mira herself can be posed either seated on her stool or resting her paws on it, striking her signature "I've just been caught" look. Your coins go inside the control panel, because of course they do.

Gecco is listing the statue at ¥32,000, which works out to roughly $197 before shipping. I love that this exists, but spending two hundred dollars on a piggy bank before you've even put any money in it is a level of commitment that feels appropriately Silent Hill. It's also not even the strangest piece of Silent Hill merchandise out there; that distinction still belongs to the James Sunderland body pillow, which I refuse to elaborate on further.

The timing lines up with a busy stretch for the franchise. Silent Hill f just received a free crossover costume based on Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake, available now to anyone who owns the base game after updating to patch 1.20. Konami is clearly keeping Silent Hill in the spotlight across multiple fronts, from full game releases to novelty collectibles that let a cartoon dog babysit your savings.
