Silent Hill f's Hinako Suits Up as Fatal Frame's Mio
Konami dropped a free crossover costume letting Silent Hill f's Hinako dress as Fatal Frame 2's Mio Amakura, completing a two-way collaboration between the horror titles.

Two of horror gaming's most prominent recent revivals just collided. Konami has released a free costume for Silent Hill f that dresses protagonist Hinako Shimizu in the outfit of Mio Amakura, the lead character from Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake. According to Konami's announcement, the DLC is available now on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, and requires patch 1.20 or later.
The costume is purely cosmetic and can be equipped at any Hokora through the Change Costume menu. As Siliconera pointed out, the trailer shows the outfit during combat, exploration, and cutscenes, including how it looks when Hinako takes damage and the costume tears. This completes a two-way crossover; Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake previously received its own DLC letting Mio wear Hinako's school uniform and fox mask.
I love seeing this kind of collaboration between two horror franchises that don't get nearly enough attention relative to the Resident Evils of the world. Both games launched to solid but not spectacular reception, and a crossover like this keeps them in the conversation without costing players a penny. Free cosmetic DLC for a single-player horror game with no battle pass, no shop rotation, no expiry timer. Konami just gave it away to everyone who owns the base game. That's how you do post-launch support for a finished product, and it's refreshing enough that I feel compelled to actually say so.
Silent Hill f is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake also received a separate update this week fixing progression and trophy issues.
