PS Plus Extra May 2026 Drops Star Wars Outlaws, RDR2
Eight games hit the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog on May 19, with Star Wars Outlaws and a returning Red Dead Redemption 2 leading the lineup.
Eight games. Two headliners. That's the shape of the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog update for May 2026, confirmed today via the PlayStation Blog. Everything goes live on May 19.
Star Wars Outlaws on PS5 is the marquee addition, and it's arriving in much better shape than it launched. Ubisoft's open-world Star Wars game had a rough debut, but several free post-launch updates reworked stealth, combat pacing, and mission variety to the point where it's a different experience now. If you bounced off it at launch or skipped it entirely, this is the version to try. Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 is the other big name, though Sony flags it as a PS Plus re-release, meaning it previously left the catalog and is now cycling back in. It also includes Red Dead Online.
The rest of the Extra lineup fills out with some interesting mid-tier picks: Bramble: The Mountain King (PS5, PS4), a dark Scandinavian folklore horror game that I think deserves more attention than it got; The Thaumaturge (PS5), a turn-based RPG from Fool's Theory set in early 1900s Warsaw; Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (PS5), a Souls-lite from the team behind Ashen; Broken Sword: Shadows of the Templar: Reforged (PS5, PS4), the classic adventure game given a substantial visual overhaul; and Enotria: The Last Song Standard Edition (PS5), an Italian folklore-inspired soulslike.
Premium's Solo Addition
PS Plus Premium subscribers get one exclusive on top of the Extra catalog: Time Crisis, the PS1 arcade classic, playable on PS5 and PS4 with all-new gyro aiming. That's a fun novelty for anyone who remembers dumping coins into the cabinet, though it's a thin Premium-only offering by any measure.
Looking at this lineup honestly, the headliners carry the month. Star Wars Outlaws arriving post-patches is a much stronger sell than it would have been at launch, and RDR2 is RDR2. But the supporting cast is where I'd point subscribers who want something they haven't already played. The Thaumaturge in particular is a weird, confident RPG that most people missed, and Bramble is one of the better horror experiences from the last few years. If you have any tolerance for dark fairy tales, don't skip it.
The catalog is also continuing to thin out for PS4-only players. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Bramble are the only titles with PS4 versions this month, and Broken Sword rounds it out. Everything else is PS5 exclusive. Sony will confirm which games are leaving the catalog on May 19, the same day these additions go live.
