Soon-to-Retire Lego Piranha Plant Tanks to $38
The 540-piece Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant is down to $37.97 at Amazon, its cheapest price ever, and it's rumored to be leaving shelves for good at the end of July.

For $38, you can own one of the best display pieces Lego has put out in its entire Super Mario line before it disappears for good. The Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant has dropped to $37.97 at Amazon, down from its usual $60 retail price, and that's the lowest it has ever been.
According to Brick Fanatics' retirement tracker, the 540-piece set is rumored to be scheduled for retirement at the end of July 2026. Once a Lego set retires, it's gone from official retail channels permanently, and aftermarket prices tend to climb fast. If you've had this one on your wishlist, the window is closing.
The timing lines up with Amazon Prime Day, which kicks off on June 23, so this could be an early deal designed to pull in traffic ahead of the main event. I wouldn't count on the price going much lower than this even during the full sale; a 37% discount on a set that's about to vanish from shelves is already aggressive.
As a display piece, the Piranha Plant earns its popularity. The head, jaws, and two leaf-petals are all fully posable, so you can actually give it some personality on a shelf instead of it just sitting there in one fixed pose. For anyone who grew up dodging these things in the pipes of World 1-1, it's a surprisingly faithful recreation at a scale that looks good next to a monitor or on a bookshelf. At nearly half off and weeks from permanent retirement, this is about as clean a deal as you'll find on a Lego Mario set.
