Six hundred and fifty dollars for a single LEGO set. That's the asking price for the Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith, the centrepiece of LEGO's June 2026 wave and officially the biggest LotR build the company has ever produced. It's currently available exclusively to LEGO Insiders members, though signing up is free, and purchases through June 7 include a Grond gift-with-purchase set.

Minas Tirith is the headline, but the rest of June is arguably just as interesting for the sheer variety on offer. LEGO is launching its first-ever Shrek sets, including a $129.99 Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots build and a $24.99 BrickHeadz trio. There's also the first Peanuts set, Snoopy's Doghouse, which has been up for preorder since February. On the gaming side, a LEGO SEGA Genesis Console arrives at $39.99, following last year's Game Boy set. I love that LEGO keeps doing these retro console builds, and at forty bucks the Genesis is an easy impulse buy for anyone who grew up in that era.

The Harry Potter lineup alone has seven new sets, including a Dumbledore's Office book nook at $129.99 and a Hogwarts Castle East Wing for $269.99. A $399.99 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, a $399.99 Disney Main Street U.S.A. Releasing June 4, and Fast and Furious car builds round out what is an absurd month of plastic bricks. Even the smaller releases, like a $39.99 Alice in Wonderland set and a $17.99 Fortnite Tomatohead, cover so many different fandoms that it's hard to imagine anyone scrolling through this lineup without finding something.

The Minas Tirith price will get the most attention, and I get the sticker shock, but LEGO's flagship display sets have been creeping toward this range for a while now. If you've been eyeing the biggest builds, $650 is where we are. The real story this month is the breadth: Shrek, Peanuts, SEGA, Harry Potter, Marvel, and Jurassic World all landing in the same four-week window. LEGO is treating June like its own E3.
