Fortnite x Ben 10 Drops Tomorrow with Alien Skins
Ben and Gwen Tennyson hit the Fortnite Item Shop on April 24 with Heatblast, Alien X, and Anodite transformation styles that actually do the source material justice.
Heatblast with a flaming head. Alien X covered in stars. Gwen's full Anodite energy form trailing mana behind her. When leakers first started pulling Ben 10 files out of Fortnite's build earlier this week, the alien transformation styles were the thing that immediately caught attention, and now that Epic has officially revealed the full collab, they look even better than the datamines suggested.
The Fortnite x Ben 10 collaboration goes live tomorrow, April 24, bringing two outfits, two back blings, two pickaxes, a wrap, and two emotes to the Item Shop. Epic revealed the full cosmetic set on April 22, and the community has been picking it apart since. This one had been on people's radar for a while: Ben 10 appeared in an Epic survey back in September 2024, and co-creator Duncan Rouleau spent early 2025 telling fans a crossover wasn't off the table. Leakers HYPEX and AdiraFNInfo confirmed it was in active development in January.
What makes this collab stand out from the usual licensed skin drop is how much it leans into Ben 10's core identity. The Omnitrix isn't just decoration; it's the entire design philosophy.
The Transformation Styles
Ben Tennyson's default outfit is his classic look from the animated series: green jacket, number 10, Omnitrix on the wrist. But he ships with three total edit styles. Heatblast turns him into the fire alien from the original show, complete with a flaming head and lava-cracked body. Alien X converts him into the black, star-speckled Celestialsapien with white horns and a green Omnitrix symbol on his chest. Both are full-body transformations, not just recolours.
Gwen Tennyson arrives in her red top and grey skirt from the series, with one alternate edit style: Anodite. It transforms her into her alien energy form, a sleek black and purple figure with a glowing white face and a flowing mana tail. If you watched Alien Force, you know exactly what this is pulling from, and it looks faithful.
There are also two emotes tied to the transformation theme. Omnitrix Activated plays off Ben's signature move from the show, while Anodite Evolution is Gwen's equivalent. The back blings are Azmuth, the Omnitrix's creator, and Gwen's Grimoire. Pickaxes include the Omnitrix Pick and Mana Orbs, plus an Omnitrix Upgrade weapon wrap.
I'll say this: Epic has been inconsistent with how much effort goes into licensed collabs. Some feel like a character was just dropped into Fortnite's art style with minimal thought. The Ben 10 set feels like someone on the team actually watched the show. Having Heatblast and Alien X as full transformation styles rather than separate purchasable skins is a surprise, and it's the right call. Those are the forms people want to run around as, and gating them behind edit styles instead of additional price tags is a better deal than I expected from Epic.
Pricing hasn't been confirmed yet. Based on comparable two-skin collaboration bundles, expect the full set to land somewhere around 2,800 to 3,200 V-Bucks, with individual outfits likely running 1,500 to 1,800 V-Bucks each if purchased separately. We'll know for certain when the items actually hit the shop tomorrow.
The collab had originally been expected sometime in summer 2026 before files were decrypted significantly ahead of schedule, which is why the reveal felt slightly rushed. Epic pushed the official announcement out on April 22, just two days before the shop rotation. That compressed timeline didn't leave much room for the usual drip-feed marketing, but honestly, the skins speak for themselves here.
For a franchise that peaked in cultural relevance during the late 2000s, Ben 10 is a smart pick for Fortnite's roster. The show's audience grew up and is now squarely in the demographic that plays battle royales. Nostalgia collabs have been some of Fortnite's strongest sellers, and the transformation angle gives this one a hook that something like a generic superhero skin doesn't have. If you've been sitting on V-Bucks waiting for something worth spending them on, this is a stronger package than most of what's rotated through the Item Shop this season.
