Xbox has recently revealed a special tribute to the renowned creator Akira Toriyama with a new dynamic dashboard background.

The background features artwork from the Xbox 360 game Blue Dragon, a title for which Toriyama provided character designs and art. In a statement, Xbox expressed their respect for the legendary creator, stating, “Honoring a true legend, we've added a new dynamic dashboard background featuring Xbox 360's Blue Dragon, with art and character designs by Akira Toriyama.”
Akira Toriyama is best known for his work as the creator of the iconic Dragon Ball franchise, a series that has captured the hearts of fans around the world for decades. In addition to Dragon Ball, Toriyama also contributed as a character designer for popular games such as the Dragon Quest series, Chrono Trigger, and of course, Blue Dragon.
The news of Toriyama's passing was shared earlier this month in a joint statement from Bird Studio and Capsule Corporation Tokyo. The statement expressed deep regret for the loss of the creative genius and highlighted his ongoing passion and dedication to his craft. Despite his untimely passing, Toriyama left behind a rich legacy of manga titles and artistic works that continue to inspire and entertain audiences worldwide.
Reflecting on his lasting impact, Bird Studio and Capsule Corporation Tokyo remarked, “Thanks to the support of so many people around the world, he has been able to continue his creative activities for over 45 years. We hope that Akira Toriyama's unique world of creation continues to be loved by everyone for a long time to come.”
