Activision Blizzard’s addition to Xbox Game Pass is a major win for Xbox users following their acquisition by Microsoft. Last month, the release of Diablo 4 on the subscription service saw a surge in player base on Xbox consoles.

As reported by Windows Central, Xbox president Sarah Bond shared in an email to employees that after the Game Pass launch of Diablo 4, Xbox quickly became the top platform for the action RPG. While specific player count data was not provided, the success of Diablo 4 on Xbox is undeniable.

As part of the integration of Activision Blizzard King titles into Xbox services, Bond announced the establishment of a new internal team dedicated to game preservation. This move showcases Xbox’s commitment to preserving gaming history and ensuring forward compatibility.

Diablo 4 is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC, offering players a chance to experience the latest installment in the iconic franchise.
