Exciting news for Xbox fans as a new Xbox Series X/S wireless controller has been leaked ahead of its official announcement. According to well-known dataminer billbil-kun, Microsoft is set to release a third controller in its 'Vapor' series next month.

The upcoming Nocturnal Vapor controller is part of the Vapor series, following the Stormcloud Vapor and Dream Vapor pads. It is rumored to hit the shelves on April 9, with pre-orders likely to start a week earlier. The price for the controller is expected to be $69.99 / £64.99 / €69.99.

This new addition to the Xbox Design Lab custom controllers line is set to feature a dark green and grey color scheme, continuing the unique designs seen in the Vapor series. But what sets this controller apart are the potential improvements such as enhanced haptic feedback, an accelerometer, and a rechargeable and replaceable battery.

Microsoft's controller plans have been subject to leaks in the past, with a previous leak revealing a controller codenamed Sebile last September. This leak indicated Microsoft's intentions for future console developments, including the possibility of an 'adorably all digital' Xbox Series X console codenamed 'Brooklin' that would come with an 'all-new, more immersive controller'.

During a recent business update, Xbox confirmed that the Series X/S won't be the final consoles from the company. Xbox president Sarah Bond teased fans by saying, "There's some exciting stuff coming out in hardware that we're going to share this holiday, and we're also invested in the next generation roadmap."
