Xbox has witnessed some notable shifts in its leadership team and internal organization in recent times. Following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard and subsequent leadership adjustments, Xbox has made some significant changes to its structure.

One of the major developments is the departure of Xbox's corporate vice president, Kareem Choudhry, after a 26-year tenure with the company. Choudhry played a pivotal role in leading Xbox's AI-focused initiatives, such as the development of an AI chatbot for support queries, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and backward compatibility efforts.

According to a report by Windows Central, Choudhry's exit was described as "circumstantial" and "amicable," separate from the recent leadership restructuring within the company. As part of the internal changes, Xbox Emerging Tech, Choudhry's team, has been integrated into the larger Xbox hardware team under Roanne Sones's leadership.

Furthermore, Microsoft has established a new team, the Xbox Experiences and Platforms team, dedicated to enhancing the gaming ecosystem across Xbox and Windows. This team, led by Ashley McKissick and Kevin Gammill, aims to refine and optimize the gaming experience for users across platforms.

In addition to these changes, Catherine Gluckstein has been appointed to lead the Xbox Strategy and Regulatory team, while Jennifer Creegan from Microsoft Advertising will oversee Microsoft Gaming's analytics and business planning functions.

Moreover, Xbox has recently set up an internal team focused on game preservation and backward compatibility, emphasizing its commitment to preserving gaming history. This initiative underscores Xbox's dedication to ensuring that older titles remain accessible to players and uphold the value of gaming history.
