The latest development was first reported by Xbox News for Koreans and marks a significant step for gaming enthusiasts in the region. The dev kit, with model number 2089, was recently approved on Monday, March 18. It was manufactured in both China and Vietnam, showcasing the global nature of the gaming industry.

According to Xbox News for Koreans, "Under the laws in Korea, all electronic devices must be certified by the National Radio Research Agency to ensure there is no risk of harming the radio wave environment." This certification now allows the dev kit to be used in the country. Additionally, it is expected to be distributed to game developers in Korea soon, sparking excitement and anticipation among the gaming community.

Speculations are rife about whether this new dev kit is a next-gen Xbox or possibly a mid-gen refresh of the console. Microsoft's commitment to developing new systems is evident, especially with the recent launch of the Xbox Series X|S consoles.

Rumors have been circulating about an upcoming all-digital all-white Xbox Series X set to release this summer. Despite the buzz, Microsoft has maintained silence on the speculations, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further updates.

It's interesting to note that the Xbox Series X|S dev kits were rated in South Korea back in June 2020, months before the official launch in November 2020. The gaming landscape continues to evolve, with advancements and new technologies shaping the future of gaming.
