World of Tanks 2.3.1: Summer Surge 26) Patch Notes (13th July 2026)
Update 2.3.1 introduces a new Crucible challenge system, expands Last Stand with fresh content, and tightens Frontline platoon rules. Several vehicles face rebalancing.

Update 2.3.1: Summer Surge lands today with three major additions that reshape how players spend their time in battle.
Crucible is the headline feature: a new mission system that challenges you within Random Battles using Tier VI or higher vehicles. Each mission series contains conditions you must complete in a single engagement, with shields that deplete when you fail. The first attempt is free; subsequent tries cost in-game currency. Some series repeat, others vanish after a time window closes. It's a structured way to pursue rewards without leaving your regular queue.
Last Stand: Terra Nord expands the PvE event with a new map, Nordskar, and two fresh enemies. Bastion and Archer. The boss encounter now unfolds through warning, attack preparation, and ATLAS destruction phases before defeat triggers. Ability tuning shifts the balance significantly: Turbocharger now lasts 6 seconds instead of 5, with its reload cut from 8 seconds to 3, and Energy Shield stretches from 7 to 10 seconds.
Frontline gets a hard restriction: platoons can no longer field more than one autocannon vehicle. This only affects Garage formation; once in battle, players choose freely. The system requirements have also shifted upward, though existing hardware that met the old minimums will still run the game. The full list, including four new vehicles across Germany, the U.S., Poland, and Italy, plus extensive balance adjustments to French, British, and Chinese tanks, is below.
