War Thunder 2.57.1.58 Patch Notes: ASRAD-R Missile Bug Fix (30th July 2026)
Update 2.57.1.58 addresses a serious ASRAD-R missile bug that effectively halved your magazine, alongside fixes for BO 105 countermeasures and replay interface problems.

This update is a bug-fix focused patch that corrects three distinct systems across aircraft, ground vehicles, and the interface. The headline fix addresses a critical ASRAD-R issue that has been silently gutting your effective firepower in combat.
The ASRAD-R missile bug was severe enough to warrant immediate attention. When you fired a missile, it would vanish from both the hull storage and the launcher simultaneously, meaning your actual magazine count was effectively halved compared to what the UI showed. This is not a cosmetic problem. In a vehicle where missile count directly determines engagement capability, losing half your effective ammunition pool without any visual warning transforms the ASRAD-R from a viable mid-tier platform into a severely compromised one. Players running this vehicle will notice an immediate shift in how many engagements they can sustain before needing to return to spawn.
The BO 105 PAH-1A1 countermeasure fix addresses a deployment bug where flares and chaff would appear to come from the wrong side of the helicopter when only a single pod was installed. This matters because countermeasure positioning affects missile guidance behaviour and visual tracking. A helicopter pilot relying on countermeasures for survival needs to know where they're actually being deployed, not where the game is incorrectly rendering them. The fix restores predictability to evasion tactics.
Three interface problems round out the patch. The "Switch to player view" button in server replays occasionally becoming inactive is a friction point for anyone reviewing combat footage, particularly for squad leaders analysing tactics or players investigating deaths. The cursor visibility issues in replays and interface-disabled screenshots are minor but persistent annoyances that affect content creators and documentation. None of these break the game, but they accumulate into a degraded experience for players who rely on replay tools.
What's absent here is any mention of balance changes or new content. This is purely corrective work, pulled from the community bug reporting service. The developers note that patch notes reflect only key changes, so smaller fixes may have shipped without documentation. The ASRAD-R fix is the only change with genuine combat impact, and it restores a vehicle to its intended state rather than improving it. Ground vehicle players running the ASRAD-R should see immediate improvement in sustained firepower, while helicopter pilots will gain confidence in their countermeasure deployment. Everyone else is looking at minor interface quality-of-life improvements that smooth out the replay and screenshot experience.

✓ FixAircraft
- BO 105 PAH-1A1 — a bug that caused deployed countermeasures to appear from the other side of the helicopter when only one countermeasure pod was installed has been fixed. (Report).
Ground Vehicles
- ASRAD-R — a bug that caused the missiles to disappear from both the stowage in the hull and the launcher when firing (which caused the number of the missiles to be effectively halved) has been fixed. (Report).
- BTR-152 (all variants) — a bug that caused the driver’s model to deform too much when rotating the steering wheel has been fixed.
Interface
- A bug that sometimes caused the Switch to the player’s view button in the server replays to become inactive has been fixed.
- A bug that caused the cursor to remain visible in replays when the interface was disabled has been fixed. (Report).
- A bug that caused the cursor to remain visible in screenshots without interface has been fixed. (Report).
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
