V Rising Dev Update #33: Community Highlights Notes (7th May 2026)

Greetings Vampires!

Here in the Stunlock Studios crypts, we’ve been carefully gathering your feedback and wishes for an upcoming balance and bug-fix patch. There’s been a tremendous volume, about three times as much as our last feedback form, and it’s given us a lot to think about. We’re going to talk about that a bit more soon in a more in-depth post!

In the meantime, we thought this would be a great opportunity to turn your attention towards some community-run servers and projects. Each of these is a long-standing project run by passionate and dedicated Vampires. They’ve put serious effort into creating their own communities and exemplary creative works that carve out unique niches within V Rising.

If you’re looking for a trusted place to spend your time and link up with like-minded Vampires for a unique experience, whether it’s your first or tenth play-through, check out these amazing communities!

The V Rising Mod Community

First up is a bit of an anomaly in the list. Though the other communities we’re promoting are in-game servers, this is a bit of a meta pull. The V Rising Mod Community is a Discord dedicated to collaborative efforts of mod developers.

“The V Rising Modding Community takes things apart (usually on purpose) to see what we can get away with in ways that are occasionally clever, occasionally dangerous, and frequently both. It's a matter of poking at the underlying logic, comparing notes, and seeing if it can be talked into doing something it wasn't originally designed for (provided you ask it very quickly and in exactly the right order).

• Hundreds of mods on Thunderstore, with more than half updated for the current game version.
• Shared frameworks and open source mods for compatibility, learning, and security.
• Both public and private modders are asking questions and sharing ideas.

Paradise Rising

Next up is an EU server that aims for an experience similar to the base V Rising gameplay, but pushing to enhance it a bit more to their taste. Maybe it’s fitting for yours as well?

From Paradise Rising:

“Paradise Rising is an EU V Rising server built around a curated, beginner-friendly PvE/PvP experience with a casual but challenging feel. We use a Soft-Brutal setup with light QoL mods and enhanced boss encounters, keeping the gameplay close to vanilla while adding enough spice to make progression feel rewarding.

Our focus is on a stable, welcoming, community-first environment for both new and returning players who want to enjoy V Rising without the usual high-pressure sweat. Active moderation, a relaxed atmosphere, and regular wipes every 3 weeks to help keep the experience fresh and consistent.”

Nexus RP

Describing themselves as a “Slice of Life V Rising Server”, this one’s for the roleplayers! Keep in mind, this is a slice of a Vampire’s life, so it might be a little more dangerous than you expect. They’ve also put quite a bit of effort into a custom-built mod to enhance the V Rising RP experience!

From Nexus RP:

“We offer 7 races other than vampire; each one of them has perks and weaknesses on its own, which makes collaborative roleplaying even more fun.

Our "Aura Pool" with +70 visual effects helps players visualize their stories. All shapeshift forms have abilities. Castle Siege & PVP enabled 7/24 within the boundaries of roleplay, and PVP intent is secured thanks to our mod again. Players are also able to access a tile palette to decorate their castles with objects that are not in the build menu.

Races are faction-based to provide a slice of life factor (e.g., playing as a Werewolf, the werewolves and Willfred + normal wolves won't attack you // Human players won't be attacked by human mobs.)

You can hide your identity, leave notes at castle doors, avoid friendly-fire even when PVP is enabled, have high-stakes RP, explore new areas, foes, and dungeons, participate in challenging events to get stronger, and secure your path to the crown brick by brick.”

Sunrise PvP

A CIS region-based Duo PvP server. They’re currently running on a 3-week wipe period, with a website tied to their server that distributes items for free to Vampires who utilize the various minigames baked into it! They even implemented a special “tower” mode where you can fight off waves of mobs to earn rewards.

CASA’NOVA

A SEA region server that prides itself on its open-world PvP and large-scale events!

From CASA’NOVA:

“CASA'NOVA is the ultimate Open World PvP server, loved by everyone across the Asia-Pacific region. It regularly hosts bi-weekly wipes in various formats: duos, trios, 4-man and 6-man squads.

The server is also famous for its monthly Zerg-vs-Zerg (ZvZ) wipe, where two large teams, 60 versus 60, battle it out over 3 days. It features rigorous planning, role assignments, speedrun strategies, goofing around, and high-level plays throughout the wipe.”

SOUL Community

Soul runs two EU-based PvE servers! These servers are run by an extremely passionate admin looking to make an experience tailored to their community, aiming to create a long-term experience that only tends to only save wipe with major updates. This time around, they’re setting up a fresh start for this coming May! Enjoy a rare opportunity and grab a castle plot!

“We (SOUL community) run two EU-based Soul PvE community servers, both 100% PvE, no-wipe long-term experiences built and tuned entirely by the community. Since early 2022 we’ve hosted these servers purely out of love for V Rising. Every major setting for both servers is voted on in Discord, we have no agenda other than giving PvE players the best, most stable home possible.

Server 1:

\ Soul PvE 3x / No Wipes / Long-term / Fresh Start 28/04/2025 - Our classic long-term brutal server (fresh start April 28 2025). Slightly modded with heavy QoL focus: 3x gather, clan size 10, max castle hearts/floors, teleport while carrying items (even in bat form), reduced durability/blood drain, slightly boosted HP, plentiful soul shards, and frequent blood moons. Super active, friendly, and helpful community, perfect for players who want to build huge and chill forever.

Server 2:

\Soul Bloodcraft PvE 1.5x / No Wipes / Long-term / Fresh Start 25/09 - Our Bloodcraft modded (fresh start ~6 months ago). It completely transforms V Rising with an XP-based leveling system, weapon & blood-type progression, classes, familiars, quests, prestige permanent buffs, and constant endgame challenges. 1.5x gather, one castle heart per player, hand-picked immersion & QoL mods (including client-side options if you want them). Blood Bath & Beyond

A heavily modded US PvP server that aims for fun, games, and atmosphere!

From Blood Bath & Beyond:

“Blood Bath & Beyond is a community-driven V Rising server built for players who want a deeper, more atmospheric experience in the world of Vardoran. Blood Bath & Beyond offers a carefully tuned environment with custom features & mods that extend well beyond vanilla. Have many custom sign-up and open-world events like CTF, Payload, Duel tournaments, & even take on high-level World Bosses & much more! I have also implemented Make-Shift Cave systems for the already-in-place cave-traveling system. Players can traverse across Vardoran through these caves, which are custom-themed based on biome and have biome-specific resource nodes!

A long-standing server that takes V Rising and makes it into an organized, small-scale PvP mode. If you’re looking to face off against some of the best players in the game and learn how to stack up against them yourself, this is one of the best places to enter your training arc!

Purrgatory is a Brutal PvE server with a rich RP atmosphere, and comes fully modded for a unique V Rising experience with no scheduled wipes!

The Shadow Realm

One of the oldest still-running RP servers is still going strong!

Castle Esoterica

Castle Esoterica is an RP-PvP-focused US server! Though they are currently on break, they’ll be returning on May 15th for a brand new campaign. They have a rather extensive history with their own lore and developed game world with its own unique story mechanics, so if that’s your kind of thing, this is a great place to indulge your Vampire fantasy.

“Castle Esoterica RP-PvP is a V Rising Roleplay PvP server with a unique twist: similar to a tabletop game of Vampire: The Masquerade, the players themselves create vampire characters and personas to accompany the gameplay of V Rising, with the goal of creating a fictional social fabric within the game world. Our community of Vampires harnesses its creativity in endlessly exciting fashions, so if you’re looking for a new twist on the Vampire experience, the opportunity is at your fingertips. Each of these featured servers is run by passionate, hard-working players, so do us a favor and treat them with the utmost respect due to any venerable elder creature of the night when you visit. We may be monsters, but we have standards.

Meanwhile, we’re taking a bit of time from our current workings to look back upon V Rising. As we mentioned earlier, we’ve been looking over the feedback and have been making headway on finding some changes that will improve the experience for all players. We’ll go into more details on that shortly!
