The First Descendant Server Maintenance Notice (05.20 (19th May 2026)
The First Descendant is going down for maintenance on May 20, and Update 1.3.28 is bringing some of the game's biggest content additions yet.
Onslaught Mode is finally getting its official release, and that alone makes this a maintenance window worth circling on your calendar. The First Descendant goes offline from May 20 (22:00 PDT) through May 21 (08:00 PDT) for Update 1.3.28, and the patch is carrying more new content than most updates this game has seen in a single drop.
Alongside Onslaught Mode's full launch, two new content types are being added: Bounty Operations and Axium Mining. A new Descendant in Ultimate Esiemo is also joining the roster, plus Nexon has flagged Descendant rebalances and improvements across the board. How extensive those balance changes are, we won't know until the full 1.3.28 notes land closer to maintenance, but the combination of a new game mode, new activities, and a new character in one patch is a solid content cadence. I'll take it.
The companion app may also have limited functionality during the downtime window, so plan accordingly. Full patch notes below.
