Teamfight Tactics patch 17.6 Notes (23rd June 2026)
The latest TFT patch focuses on Augment balance and Pengu's Party adjustments, with a three-week runway before regional play.

Patch 17.6 is a smaller update that takes a sweeping pass at Augments while keeping the broader Space Gods meta stable. Riot's holding back on major shakeups ahead of regional tournaments, but Pengu's Party gets quite a few balance changes to keep things fresh.
The Augment focus is the real story here. The team's reworking them to be more general-purpose, things like Best Friends now grant both Armor and Magic Resist instead of just one, and Blood Offering adds AP alongside AD so it works for more comps. Overdue nerfs hit Birthday Reunion, Expedition, and Self Destruct, while Critical Success gets disabled entirely due to being too situational. Loot Singularity's cashout thresholds are also getting restructured to frontload components earlier.
On the unit side, Twisted Fate gets meaningful buffs, Gnar takes a light nerf (paired with a Meeple (7) econ reduction), and Shepherd comps see their summons and carries strengthened. Shen's getting a quality-of-life change, his Attack Speed buff no longer decays when buffing himself, making him more consistent. This is a three-week patch, with 17.7 arriving July 15th.

Patch 17.6 is a smaller patch with a few buffs, specific nerfs, and a sweeping pass on Augments. The balance of the set is in a good spot right now, and we don’t want to shake too much up ahead of our regional tournaments. But where things are shaking up is Pengu’s Party, which has quite a few balance changes to keep the party going!
This will be a three week long patch (one week longer than usual), with 17.7 coming on July 15th to allow Rioters to take a week long break.

As we continually develop Teamfight Tactics, we occasionally update the minimum system requirements to continue playing. Starting July 22nd, we’ll be ending support for 2GB/3GB mobile devices. Players on these devices will need to upgrade in order to continue to play TFT on mobile.
Large, like the announcement we made about migrating to Unreal.
TRAITS
Anima (6) is back on the buff list, this time with a small, but focused buff to ensure you’re able to spike faster with your initial rewards.
We’ve also got a few Arbiter buffs for the combos that are feeling a bit Arbitrary.
One of the biggest winners of last patch was reroll Gnar, which didn’t actually stay at Level 6 to slow roll for long. Instead, Gnar enjoyers opted to play for Levels after collecting enough Gnars, and then print the rest with Meeple (7). We don’t think Gnar is that far off in terms of balance, but the consistency of this comp is held together by its access to Level 9 through Meeple’s econ rewards. We’re shipping a small and targeted econ nerf here for Meeple (7), and going light on the Gnar nerf in an effort to keep the comp viable without the consistent dominance.
N.O.V.A. has a few fun fantasies with the Striker Selector, but too few of them haven’t been viable. We’re shipping buffs to the least selected, so keep your eyes out for new N.O.V.A. carries that’ll change the acronym to Nerf Overdue Very Appealing. Okay, not likely to take them into a “need nerf now” situation, but you try making an acronym out of N.O.V.A.
With our Shepherd AP nerf in our mid-patch update for 17.5 we’re able to move more power into the Summon itself and a few of the carries found in Shepherd comps. This should result in a much stronger summon, especially at Shepherd (7).
- Anima Squad (6)
- 15g cashout removed
- 3x 4-cost cashout removed
- 2x Lesser Duplicator ⇒ 2x Lesser Duplicator + 5g
- More likely to receive Component/Emblem rewards

- Gain Attack Speed: 35/55% ⇒ 40/65%
- Gain Resists: 45/70 ⇒ 55/80

UNITS: TIER 1
As our only champion that rolls dice and deals cards, Twisted Fate has found himself low-rolling and drawing bricks—which should hit hard, no? We’re giving him some much-needed buffs that’ll hopefully return him to a board, card table, or gambler’s den near you.
- Twisted Fate Min Ability Damage AP: 190/285/430/730 ⇒ 205/305/460/800
- Twisted Fate Max Ability Damage AP: 380/570/860/1460 ⇒ 410/610/920/1565
UNITS: TIER 2
With a targeted Meeple (7) nerf for the Gnar reroll comp, we’re able to go light with our nerf here.
Mordekaiser and a Heat Death (Champion Augment) buff in one patch!?
- Gnar Base AD: 50 ⇒ 48
- Mordekaiser Initial Shield: 350/425/550 ⇒ 350/450/625
- Mordekaiser Shield Channel: 75/90/105 ⇒ 75/100/115
UNITS: TIER 3
Our 3-costs are all very close in terms of balance, but Viktor’s Psionic Storm is just a tad under the weather.
- Viktor Ability Damage: 190/290/500 ⇒ 200/300/530
- Lulu Altar Spell Damage: 150/225/375 AP ⇒ 160/240/400 AP
- Lulu Serpent Spell Damage: 140/210/335 AP ⇒ 150/225/360 AP
UNITS: TIER 4
With Shepherd’s AP share in check, we’re able to buff Karma and LeBlanc in hopes they can find homes in their AP Shepherd flex lines and others alike.
As a Threat-like tank, if Morgana can’t do the tanking, she’s just a nice passive trait for your team. With more HP gain and ally healing, this Dark Lady should now bring more light to your boards.
- Aurelion Sol Non-Mech Spell Damage: 320/480 AP ⇒ 335/505 AP
- Karma Split Damage AP: 570/855 ⇒ 630/945

- LeBlanc Sigil Damage: 85/130 AP ⇒ 95/145 AP
- Morgana Health Gain AP: 525/625 ⇒ 600/700
- Morgana Ally Heal AP: 100/150 ⇒ 125/185
- Master Yi Spell Damage AD: 50/75 AD ⇒ 55/85 AD
- Nami Primary Spell Damage: 440/660 AP ⇒ 460/690 AP
- Nami Secondary Spell Damage: 110/165 AP ⇒ 125/185 AP
UNITS: TIER 5
Shen’s Attack Speed will no longer decay over the course of his ability, but he’s still mana locked so he won’t chain cast with absurdly high amounts of Attack Speed. Expect him to be more exciting as he now consistently hits faster and always buffs himself with his ability.
- Shen will always gain his Attack Speed bonus after casting his ability, even if it does not hit himself.
- Shen’s Attack Speed buff no longer decays when buffing Shen. Other allies receive the same decaying buff.
AUGMENTS
The bulk of our balance focus for this patch is Augments, so expect a very long list with a few highlights here.
With this pass, one of our goals is to make Augments more general and less specific to lobby shapes/builds. Things like Best Friends I/II—which previously only granted Armor—now gets both Armor and Magic Resist, while Blood Offering will also grant AP in addition to AD, making it a solid take for AP comps.
We’re also buffing many of our Augments that just haven’t been hitting the mark in terms of power. You’ll notice quite a few buffs for Augments that provide Thief’s Gloves.
On the nerf list, we’ve got some overdue nerfs for Birthday Reunion, Expedition, and Self Destruct (Gragas). We’ve also got nerfs to Restart Mission that remove its powerful interaction with open fort-style (not playing a full board to lose streak + econ) Augments that took away the tradeoff for the Augment.
We’ve opted to disable Critical Success, which in most cases was very weak and sometimes never cashed out. But in situations where you could build a bunch of crit items early, it could provide a fast and powerful spike. Overall, the Augment required too specific of a set up to be worth rebalancing.
We moved Loot Singularity’s (Dark Star) cashouts around to grant components earlier and keep it on pace with other Gold Augments. We also reworked the final cashout and removed the impossible-to-achieve ones, but Cashout 16 will be VERY hard to hit.
- Loot Singularity:
- Cashouts 17-20 removed
- 30 Matter: 1 Reforger/Remover ⇒ 1 component
- 70 Matter: 1 component ⇒ 1 Reforger/Remover + 1 gold
- 150 Matter: 1 Lesser Duplicator ⇒ 1 Component
- 300 Matter: 1 Component ⇒ 1 Lesser Duplicator + 1 gold
- Cashout 16 Threshold: 555 ⇒ 777

- Band of Thieves II+ Turn Delay: 6 ⇒ 5

Demacia, Honeymancy, and Storyweaver Kayle have all been partying a little too hard this anniversary, so as to avoid them not getting an invite for Pengu’s next party, we’re going to nerf them here and keep the sustainable (and balanced) party vibes going. We've also got some buffs to some underperforming Anniversary traits that haven't quite been able to get into the party spirit!
We also have a few bugfixes for Pengu’s Party. Notably one for the 920 and 1000 Ixtal cashouts that should now provide their promised powerful rewards.
