Stellaris 4.3.7 hotfix patch released (checksum 4f3c) (11th May 2026)
Paradox has pushed a quick follow-up hotfix to address mod compatibility issues introduced by the Utopian Abundance DLC changes.
Hot on the heels of 4.3.6, Paradox has pushed 4.3.7 out the door today, and this one is almost entirely about keeping the modding community from breaking.
When 4.3.6 made Utopia, Synthetic Dawn, and the Humanoids Species Pack free for all players, it quietly created a problem for mods that still include DLC ownership checks for those packs. Any mod that hadn't been updated to account for the change could fail those checks entirely, which is a real headache for players running large mod lists. This hotfix makes the DLC ownership check backward compatible, so older mods pass through without needing an update from their authors. It's a small fix, but a considerate one, mod support is a huge part of why Stellaris has the legs it does, and quietly breaking half the Workshop with a free DLC rollout would have soured that goodwill fast.
4.3.7 is live now on Steam and GOG. The Microsoft Store version is pending certification. Here's the full breakdown.
