StarRupture Hotfix 0.2.5 - now available! [patch Notes (18th May 2026)
StarRupture's latest hotfix tackles nine separate crash triggers, tightens up co-op building, and finally adds an autosave interval option.
Nine crashes in a single hotfix is a lot to ship at once, and if you've been bouncing off StarRupture due to instability during Fire Wave sequences specifically, this one's for you. Hotfix 0.2.5 is live now, and the developers have addressed crashes tied to Fire Wave entry, item spawning, Drone movement on Roundabouts, the Rail system, and even corrupted save files.
Beyond stability, the building system gets a meaningful pass. Platform stability costs are down, so you can push constructions further than before, and a co-op power conduction bug that was silently breaking Platform chains has been fixed. Pillar Supports now correctly pass stability values to structures above them too, which was quietly undermining anyone trying to build vertically. The autosave interval option is a small addition, but it's one of those things that should have been there from day one in an Early Access survival game.
This is a solid mid-cycle patch for a game still finding its footing in Early Access. Here's the full breakdown.
