StarRupture Hotfix 0.2.3 now live! [patch notes] (4th May 2026)
StarRupture's first hotfix since Update 1 targets building stability, co-op bugs, and some nasty post-Fire Wave environment issues.
Building on unstable ground has been a sore spot for StarRupture players since Update 1 dropped, and Hotfix 0.2.3 addresses that directly. Supported Platforms will now correctly maintain structural stability without pulling down adjacent constructions, and Foundation Platforms should actually spawn under buildings when you place them. If you've lost time to floating mid-air platforms after deconstructing a primary support, that's fixed too.
The co-op fixes here matter more than they might look on paper. Clients in co-op sessions were missing out on Vulpir egg spawns entirely, and the Large Personal Storage unlock wasn't counting requirements correctly for anyone who wasn't the host. Those are the kind of bugs that quietly make multiplayer sessions feel broken without players always knowing why.
On the environment side, the infection persisting after a Fire Wave clear is squashed, and gatherables like Ignitium should now actually spawn and show interaction prompts post-wave. For an Early Access title, this is a solid round of targeted fixes rather than a vague "stability improvements" drop, and I appreciate that the team is being specific about what changed. The complete notes are below.
