StarRupture - Hotfix 0.2.2 Patch Notes (22nd April 2026)
StarRupture's first post-Update 1 hotfix is here, tackling turret logic failures, co-op desync, and a progression rollback that should save some headaches for returning players.
Turrets refusing to fire at enemies is exactly the sort of bug that makes a survival game feel broken, so the fact that Hotfix 0.2.2 lands today as a direct follow-up to Update 1 is the right call from the developers.
The fix that'll matter most to anyone jumping back in after a break is the progression rollback change. If you loaded a pre-Update 1 save and found your previously built structures had vanished from the Development Station, they'll now be automatically re-unlocked. That's a nasty edge case that could have sent players grinding through content they'd already completed, so getting it sorted quickly reflects well on the team. On the co-op side, the Zipline sync fix and the locked Control Station doors in Forgotten Engine are both quality-of-life repairs that were clearly frustrating multiplayer sessions. Dedicated server players also get two dedicated fixes for Rail V3 and Ore Excavator V2 unlock requirements being miscounted, which is the sort of silent progression blocker that's infuriating to diagnose.
For an Early Access title, this is a reasonably thorough sweep of post-launch fallout. Full patch notes below.
