StarRupture - Hotfix 0.2.1 Patch Notes (16th April 2026)
StarRupture's first hotfix since Update 1 lands today, fixing a string of co-op and dedicated server issues that have been frustrating players since the update dropped.
Co-op survival games live and die by their multiplayer stability, and StarRupture clearly had some rough edges after Update 1. Hotfix 0.2.1 is out today, and the bulk of the fixes are aimed squarely at the co-op and dedicated server experience.
The most disruptive bugs getting squashed here are the building-related ones. Deconstructing a single Habitat within a vertical stack was wiping out every connected Habitat above it, which is a brutal way to lose hours of base-building work. There was also a Quartz Ore exploit causing it to repeatedly dump into your inventory when toggling online visibility, which the team has now corrected. On the server side, dedicated servers will now properly pause when all players leave a session, which should save a few headaches for anyone running persistent worlds.
For an Early Access title, this is a solid turnaround from the developers. The patch covers crashes, sync issues, building logic, and environment edge cases all in one go. The complete notes are below.
