Slay the Spire 2 Beta Hotfix Patch Notes - v0.106.1 (23rd May 2026)

Aeonglass and Infested Prism just got a lot more dangerous, and all five characters have picked up buffs in Slay the Spire 2's latest hotfix.

A day after v0.106.0 landed, Mega Crit is back with a follow-up hotfix. v0.106.1 is a smaller drop, but the enemy changes alone are enough to shift how cautiously you approach certain encounters.

Infested Prism and Act Three boss Aeonglass have both been adjusted, and if yesterday's patch already made enemies feel more threatening, this one pushes a few of them into run-ending territory. I've coasted past Infested Prism more times than I'd like to admit, so I'm curious whether this rebalance finally makes it feel like a real threat rather than a speed bump. On the flip side, all five characters have received buffs, with Ironclad leading the way. Getting character love alongside enemy buffs is the right approach; it keeps the difficulty spike from feeling punishing rather than fair.

Mega Crit also announced they're shifting to a bi-weekly patch cadence, giving the team more time to assess changes before shipping them. For a game still in early access, that's a sensible call. Everything in the update is listed below.

Full Patch Notes

Mega Crit is now dropping Slay the Spire 2 patch notes every other week, giving it more time between updates to consider possible moves. The first set of changes in this new cycle is now here, and it makes me a lot more terrified. Several notable enemies that I've never really been scared to run into, including the Infested Prism and new Act Three boss Aeonglass, now have the potential to completely halt a run in its tracks. Fortunately, all five characters have also been given some love, with Ironclad buffs leading the charge.
