Two days after the first post-launch weekly patch, Facepunch is back with Small Update 26.05.06a, a tighter drop that fixes a handful of issues and quietly reshapes how you the platform.

The dedicated server stutter on client join is the fix that will matter most to anyone running or playing on community servers. That kind of hitch on connection is the sort of thing that makes a game feel rougher than it is, so getting it patched quickly is the right call. There's also a fix for maps with a target game failing to launch entirely for other games, which sounds like it was causing some real headaches.

On the UI side, Discover now lives in its own menu tab, the Games section drops its dropdown, and the Hub is gone. Game browsing also switches over to new ratings and tags. I'd expect the ratings and tags change to make a real difference in how discoverable content actually is, better filtering has been one of the platform's weaker spots. Everything in the update is listed below.

Full Patch Notes

  • Fixed a stutter on dedicated servers when new clients joined
  • Fixed maps with a target game not launching at all for other games
  • Discover in it's own menu tab, Games has no dropdown, Hub removed
  • Game browsing uses new ratings and tags

s&box's first post-launch weekly patch is a meaty one, halving server load times and reworking how reviews and reports work on the platform.
