RuneScape: Dragonwilds Update 0.11.0.3 Hotfix Patch Notes(1st April)

Jagex has dropped hotfix 0.11.0.3 for RuneScape: Dragonwilds today, and if you were feeling suspiciously close to that level 99 skillcape, you might want to sit down. The XP required to reach level 99 is now over double the original value across the 92-99 range. That's a meaningful grind extension, not a rounding adjustment.

The practical fallout: if you haven't already hit the new upper limit of 99 under the revised curve, your skill level will be recalculated downward to match. The skillcape perk locks again if you fall below 99 as a result. Credit where it's due, Jagex has handled one edge case cleanly here: if you had a skillcape equipped before the hotfix went live, you keep it equipped. Small mercy, but it's the right call.

This is the kind of rebalance that stings in the short term but usually signals the devs are taking progression seriously rather than leaving an easy path to endgame content sitting open. Whether the new curve feels fair in practice is something the community will stress-test over the next few days. Full patch notes below.

We've applied a hotfix to rebalance xp values from levels 92-99. The XP required to reach Level 99 is now over double the original value.

• If you have not already reached the new upper limit of 99, your skill level will be changed to reflect the new curve.
• The skillcape perk becomes locked again if you are now below level 99.
• If you had a skillcape equipped prior to the update and the hotfix goes live, you will still have it equipped:You will NOT be able to unequip it by RIGHT CLICKING.You CAN replace the cape by right clicking another cape to equip it instead.If you try and RE-EQUIP a skill cape after the change, you will not be able to.
• If you place the cape on an armour mannequin, you will be able to leave the cape on the mannequin even when swapping armours.You can take the cape OFF the mannequin by dragging it to your inventory, but it will not let you equip it until you reach 99 again.

Dedicated Servers WILL require a restart to apply this patch.
