Roadcraft Patch 7.1 - Vehicle Mod Editor Notes (30th June 2026)

The modding tools are finally here. Patch 7.1 brings the vehicle mod editor to Roadcraft alongside a stack of fixes for vehicles, progression, and UI.

Roadcraft's modding community just got the tools it's been waiting for. Patch 7.1 rolls out the vehicle mod editor, a new feature that lets players import custom 3D mods and test them in-game before sharing with other players. The studio is running an open-ended Discord contest for the best submissions, with no deadline, a smart move for a feature that'll take time to master.

Beyond this patch tackles a solid list of fixes that address real pain points. Thrustmaster FarmStick support is now in, and the long-standing issue where steering wheel pedals were swapped is finally gone. More importantly, progression blockers on Sandswept are fixed, the "Baller" achievement now unlocks properly, and multiplayer road planning de-syncs should stop eating your work. The Crawler Pack vehicles are also no longer purchasable at Level 1, which should smooth out early progression balance.

Performance on the Reclaim DLC maps got a bump in Road Planning mode, and a crash when deleting consecutive save slots is squashed. Check the full notes below for the complete rundown on vehicle fixes, UI updates, and localization standardization.

  • Fixed issue with sand filling animation loops repeatedly on Wayfarer OFT96 TS D
  • Fixed hidden UI buttons for MTK Lesorub 2006
  • Fixed an issue where the “Toggle Anchors” feature was not functional for crane vehicles, including Zikz 612C and Mullet crane vehicles

  • Fixed ghost buildings appearing before placement, blocking resource delivery
  • Fixed facility areas overlapping outside the main recycling zone
  • Fixed ghost buildings functioning before demolition or construction was complete.
  • Fixed progression blocker on Sandswept, where tasks could not be completed after re‑entering the game
  • Fixed achievement “Baller” not unlocking after purchasing all machine categories
  • Rebalanced Crawler Pack vehicles — no longer purchasable at Level 1 progression
  • Fixed road planning de‑sync in multiplayer for clients

  • Fixed an issue where FOB banners were missing after re‑entering the map
  • Fixed an issue where money counters and recovery coins displayed incorrect values after loading into a scene

🖼️Visual

  • Fixed the tree leaves color shift (from red to green at close distance) on the Autumn Collapse map
  • Fixed an issue with tree repositioning on the Summer Drought map, ensuring correct placement and animation consistency

💬Localization

  • Standardized vehicle names across all languages
  • Fixed issue where construction requirements displayed as symbols instead of words when switching from hieroglyphic to Latin‑based languages

🔊Sound

  • Fixed an issue where Expansion 2 vehicles produced no sound when interacted with in the Garage preview, including: 5111B Dragline, Kronenwerk L34, Minuteman K370 Explorer, Wayfarer OFT96 TS T, Wayfarer OFT96 TS D
  • Fixed an issue where the Vostok MU‑97 “Ant” Bridge Layer produced no sound in preview
