Old School RuneScape The Blood Moon Rises - Known Notes (30th June 2026)

The Blood Moon Rises hit today, and it's already had a rough start. Jagex had to pull all game worlds offline shortly after launch to fix an issue preventing some servers from updating correctly. The studio issued a 5-minute warning before the shutdown and is working on getting things back online.

The real problem underneath? An accuracy-related bug that's being investigated before worlds come back up. This matters because Jagex is already taking snapshots of kill times from before the update to identify and manually remove any speedrun records that became impossible to beat due to the bug. That's the kind of attention to detail that keeps the competitive community from losing faith during a rough patch day.

Known Issue	Status
We're aware that some worlds are unavailable following the reboot.	We'll be shutting down all game worlds shortly to address an issue preventing some worlds from updating correctly. A 5-minute countdown will appear in game before the shutdown. We'll keep you updated as soon as we have more information. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
We're investigating an accuracy-related bug and are working on a fix before bringing the worlds back online. We're also taking snapshots of record kill times from before today's game update so we can identify and manually remove any records that may have become unobtainable as a result of this bug.	Ongoing. Thank you for your continued patience while we work to resolve this issue.
