Once Human 3.0.3 Bug Fixes Patch Notes (10th August 2026)
A small but focused patch addresses visual accessibility and several broken systems, including a long-overdue toggle for the sanity stat's screen flashing effect.

Version 3.0.3 is a maintenance patch that prioritises accessibility and fixes to broken core systems rather than balance changes or new content. A toggle to disable the sanity stat's flashing screen effect addresses a known friction point for players sensitive to visual stimulation, though the patch notes do not indicate whether this was a frequently reported complaint or a proactive accessibility measure.
The sanity effect toggle lives in Settings > Gameplay > Dynamic Display, which means it sits alongside other visual intensity options rather than buried in an accessibility submenu. This placement suggests the developers view screen flashing as a display preference rather than a medical accommodation, which may limit discoverability for players who need it most. The fix itself is straightforward: turning off the dynamic display option will silence the flashing without affecting sanity mechanics themselves.
The remaining fixes target specific broken features. Rosetta's Access Card, a progression item, could not be used at all. A blocking bug for anyone attempting to progress through that content gate. The Chef class campfire stove issue prevented players from using ingredients already stored in their territory, forcing them to carry materials manually or abandon the class entirely in shared bases. The Gravity Observation event task in the Visional Wheel simply would not complete, locking players out of event progression. These are not balance tweaks or quality-of-life improvements; they are systems that were non-functional.
The Tideborn Dream cosmetic fix corrects display bugs affecting shoe appearance and skin tone rendering on the female body type, suggesting the cosmetic set shipped with visual errors that persisted long enough to warrant a dedicated patch. No timeline is given for how long these bugs existed before this fix.
The patch is scheduled for 07:00 PT on August 7, though the notes flag this as subject to change. A standard caveat that offers no concrete assurance of timing. There is no mention of client update requirements, download size, or whether progress will reset. The patch notes direct players to submit feedback via in-game support channels (ESC menu on PC, map menu on mobile), indicating the team remains open to further reports.
What is conspicuously absent is any mention of balance changes, new content, or fixes to systems the community has reported elsewhere. This patch is triage: it unblocks progression, restores broken features, and adds an accessibility option. Whether these fixes address the most pressing complaints in the playerbase is unclear from the notes alone, but the focus on concrete breakage rather than iteration suggests the development team is working through a backlog of non-functional systems.
